This might be my favourite graphic novel, made child me feel very seen in a lot of ways 🩷
So goshdarn cuteee! Featuring seductive anxiety and the male gaze as Halloween costumes lol.

Originally I went into Seance Tea Party for the pretty art and interesting concept. It delivered beyond my expectations, however, as it explored the bittersweet experience of changing and growing up. Both Lora and Alexa must come to terms with their journeys of growing up and moving on while holding onto a smidge of their childlike wonder and excitement for life.
That being said, the book isn't life changing. It was solidly written with lovely art and well developed themes, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a reminder that the wonder filled eyes of a child aren't necessarily a negative thing to have from time to time.
Lighthearted and poignant, Seance Tea Party was a nice respite from the chaos of daily life that I would recommend to anyone who thinks it sounds even remotely interesting.

One of the sweetest graphic novel stories I’ve ever read. This gave off the vibes of Ghosts and Beetles & the Hollowbones and wow was it good. It was such a quick read about growing up and learning independence. The art style was so cool and the whole ghost ideology was really interesting. Alexa’s self-discovery of her past as a ghost was really enjoyable as well. I recommend it if you enjoyed any of the above books or love a good middle fiction graphic novel.
