I wasn't as hooked in to this one as I was for the first two books. I just felt like the book dragged quite a few times, and my mind would constantly wander instead of listening to the audio book. I'm hoping it's just me and the next book is better.

The books get better, or at least more comprehensible as one is now comfortably accommodated with the setting of the world. I really like the mix between magic and modern police work, and of course the characters, but I what I like more about this book is that there are fewer side tracks and concentrate more on the main plot. Problem still, of course, is that there is not enough of Nightingale, whom I LOVE :D

It goes a bit weird about three quarters of the way in, and I think the FBI agent was an unnecessary character, but I devoured this in less than a day so I must have enjoyed it!

This series continues to impress. The mystery was intriguing and I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions. The character development continues and I look forward to seeing how Abigail's role grows in the later books. Overall this is an easy, enjoyable fast paced read.
