I love the worldbuilding, the names and the (unspoken) ethical questions/discussions! So excited for part 2 and 3.

The back cover says it's appropriate for ages 12 and up, which I disagree with. The content can be really intense, plus the philosophical side is much more interesting when you're (waaay) older than 12 and probably have some first-hand experience with grief.

Despite the heavy topics, reading it didn't feel heavy. It was my favorite book of the year when I picked it up (ca 2021?) and I'm so excited to delve into the rest of the trilogy now!

DNF. Enjoyed it the first time around but I simply can't read a book with no disabled characters just because they were all healed' it makes it feel like our lives are not worth living because we are disabled
