— since genya was basically absent throughout this whole book i honestly barely remembered her existence but this little story was such a good addition! it’s one of those things that you didn’t even knew you needed and then you read it and it’s like wow ???
leigh is fantastic at writing short stories and this was so enjoyable i loved it so so much!

Again, not nearly enough information. I was hoping for more of an insight as to why Genya seemed like such a good friend, but ultimately betrayed Alina. Oh we get a little bit of the reasoning, but not what was done, or how.

Enjoyable, tragic and a little heartbreaking. I feel bad for Genya, who is a quiet spectator ruled by everyone but herself. She may be my favorite character after The Darkling.
