Man I was so excited about this book due to everyone raving about it but I just couldn't finish it. First off I'm a St. Louis Blues fan so reading about the Blackhawks was torture but that's just a personal conflict. Haha my biggest issue was she was naming real teams yet she was saying the Blackhawks were playing Atlanta but the Blackhawks are from the NHL and Atlanta Flames became The Calgary Flames in the 80's. So needless to say I wish she would've done her research if she was going to use legit teams I tried over looking it but then the book turn into only being about her boobs and his penis. It just felt like it was trying too hard and I just didn't care and got irritated with it.

I loved how crazy and cute Violet and Alex were. Violet's character was my favorite and when she made MC the cape that was one of the craziest things I have ever read. I loved how Alex always sent Violet gifts, especially that beaver, and Violet had no filters when she talked.

I read spin-off series first so all I know about Violet and Alex is from there and I would keep that way although Alex I didn’t mind.
Anyway super generous 2 stars, word beaver was used 70 times...if I speak...

Violet knows all about hockey players and their reputation. Her step brother just got traded to a new team, after a win, his new team and their family are at a bar to celebrate where Violet meets team captain Alex. Violet likes to keep her distance from all hockey players, not interested in being labeled a bunny, but after a hot make out session with Alex she’s not to worried about being a bunny, she’s ready to let go and have one hot night with him.
After their night together Alex wants to see more of Violet, he sends gifts, emails and texts until she agrees to go on a date. After a few months of being together all of Violets fears coming hitting her in the face and she’s not sure if she can recover..

This was a good one. Alex is exactly what you think a hockey player is, and not always in the good way. He does his best to make up for his mistakes but not always quick enough. Violet is a stubborn ass sometimes and sometimes that bites her in the butt, but they are cute together.
