I am loving this series. I don't know why it was taking so long to read this series.

Second in the Georgina Kincaid urban fantasy series set in a bookstore in Seattle area.

The Story
Georgina has settled in to a sorta satisfied relationship with Seth, her very favorite author. The underlying theme is one of attempting satisfaction without actually touching so as to preserve as much of Seth's life as possible.

To distract us from the sexual frustrations, we have Bastien appearing. Desperately in need of a triumph to soothe his furious master in Detroit, Bastien, an incubus, must seduce Dana, the leader of a anti-everything league in Seattle. Dana is homophobic, censorious, judgmental, and self-righteous with a major secret to hide.

Bastien has impulse control problems which is what led to his Detroit disaster and he's on the same course here in Seattle…with Georgina. To be fair, he and Georgina have a long, long history together—they've partnered up to ply their sensual arts many a time in the past and somewhere in that selfish hide of his, I think he's a tiny bit concerned.

The other distraction is a new drug making the rounds. Someone is supplying Doug and his band and their fame is skyrocketing. Doug has gone overboard in every direction and it's wreaking havoc…everywhere.

My Take
Of the two books I've read, it lacks weight but I am enjoying it as a flip sort-of read. I do like Georgina's concern for not hurting Seth and Seth has such a wholesome approach to the issue. But I really like Seth's family. They are so welcoming and I think they are providing the most difficult spin emotions-wise for Georgina.

I dnf at 22%. I could forgive Georgina's preference for blissful ignorance for one book. That's it. Reading her constant train of thought of: "Wow that's so weird and suspicious, better forget completely about it and go back to BOYYYS" is annoying. I thought maybe after all that went down in book one she'd FOCUS and notice when things are obviously not right, especially when it involves her friends. She's so self absorbed in this book and it's just irritating. She was pretty self involved in the last book but the fact that she has not grown at all or learned from the events in book one is just a whole new level of annoying. Very disappointing because I thought this series might have potential.

Grow up, succubus.

Four stars. I'd like to give this an extra half for the ending but there's no half stars here.

This book is a huge improvement. Georgina is more together. The characters have grown and changed more than throughout the first and the inclusion of an incubus is a good plot point. Mead's writing is easier to follow and more covered overall.

I devoured this book. Georgina's life with Seth and her return to active Succubus duties makes for an interesting read. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but to think this is more than a fluffy who-done-it with sex and witticisms you'll need to look elsewhere.

I will be reading the next ones. I don't know when but I will.

Georgina is a messy queen but I kinda love her for it. This was definitely an improvement on the first novel which was a little slow at the beginning - but this one we hit the ground running. My biggest criticism is that book one left off with things being unclear about what decision Seth would make after finding out the truth but then this book picked up with them already dating ?? Absolutely ripped off!! I was so excited to see how they ended up together but then we didn't even get to see it. I'm hoping we'll get a flashback scene eventually but even then the momentum has passed so I'm not sure it would hit as hard.

She truly entered her dumbest bitch era when she slept with Basian while he looked like Seth and god is she lucky her man is a SAINT. They better be able to bang eventually because damn.

Oh Richelle. I love your books, honestly. I thought this was a great book, but honestly it was a bit painfully predictable. The overall plot is easy to unravel, much easier than it should be. If anyone didn't figure out Dana almost immediately or that something was wrong with the band, then they weren't paying attention.

Honestly, I can go with a predictable plot as long as I love the characters. And I do love them, particularly Seth because he's so quietly adorable and perfect. But if we're being honest here, there really needs to be some female diversity. And how about some females in general! We get all these new characters introduced, surprise of all surprises, half of them are men and the other half that are women, barely show up or are portrayed as the victim of men or not even on their radar. It's just annoying, I understand Georgina is the one the story is about, but she's not the fucking sun. Please! Enough with the brodeo.

Loved, loved loved it!

Georgina is one of my new favorite characters. She is badass in a "sneaky" kind of way. I love the relationship her and Seth have finally come to terms with. Although, I did read the synopsis for the upcoming books in the series and I know my heart is gonna be broken, but I will hold on to that last little bit of faith ;)

One thing I really enjoyed about this book was that there was more then one main event that makes the story. I said in one of my earlier statuses, that this book reminded me so much of [b:My Soul to Keep|7476122|My Soul to Keep (Soul Screamers, #3)|Rachel Vincent|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1268059270s/7476122.jpg|6847345]. If anyone else has read that story, then I am sure you will know where I am coming from. That immortal type of "drug" in which the mortals get their hands on. At the same time I loved how we also had to deal with the "Dana" thing. Bastien. Ah, I LOVED him! I know it sounds bad, but I got over his little "mistake" quite quickly with Georgina.

In the end, there was so much happening and so may different angles to look from that I barley put the book down. Actually, I never did unless I left my house. So for that I gave this book 5 stars.

Amazing, amazing, amazing.

So with that said, straight into book 3 I shall go!! ;)

This was so adorable. I know weird. A book about a succubus should not be adorable. but it is. That last page with Seth and Georgina SOOO CUTEEEE

Again. Georgina has surprised me. She's not powerful or physically strong but she manages to come across as unbeatable. I kinda wish that her appearance was actually her own, but still. She is soo coool :)

And i take it back from my 1st review. Seth and Georgina are the cutest together. I am still hoping deep deep down that she'll end up with Carter (i mean after all.. Seth is going to die at one point..) and Bastian was a sweetie pie.

So much more explicit than any of her books, i feel like this series is going to be as much as a page-turner as Vampire Academy. I can't wait.
