I'm a complete and utter fan of Tessa Bailey. And this book was another reason why she continues to hold top spot on my favorite author list. She creates these intense, deep and complex characters that just suck you right into their world. I would highly recommend that you read [b:Protecting What's His|17413427|Protecting What's His (Line of Duty, #1)|Tessa Bailey|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1396557274s/17413427.jpg|24259737] first as you will get a fuller picture of who Willa Peet is. Willa is all grown up now but still running from anything complex or difficult. She wins a photography competition and her prize is a month in Dublin, Ireland. She goes with the intention of finding herself again after breaking up with her first love. She's not prepared for Shane Claymore, the owner of the inn she will be staying in. Before she knows it she's swept up into his orbit and his family. As for Shane, he has returned home for family responsibilities. I would have loved to have a dual POV instead of relying on Willa's interpretation but got enough to know that Shane was the perfect, strong, alpha male character one comes to expect from Tessa Bailey. It was a slow build up between them, with their attraction growing and burning stronger and stronger with every interaction. I also enjoyed the secondary characters, especially Brian and Patrick. Would have been great to see Patrick get his shot at a HEA.

Go on and read this and the series Line of Duty. You won't be disappointed.

I love Tessa Bailey!

This is sort of a spin off of the Line of Duty series especially Protecting What’s His. It was nice seeing what Willa was up to and getting a cameo of Derek and Ginger.

I wish this was dual narration because I would’ve loved to hear Shane’s pov. We do get a little peak for the epilogue tho!

Willa was definitely a frustrating lead at the beginning. She grew a lot in the story and learned to understand her issues, but there were points in the book when you just wanted to shake her! Shane too.

But I loved the slow burn of this and the HEA!

I obs didn't pick up this book expecting t to be completely accurate with the formule 1 facts. I don't think I have ever seen an f1 trophy with a little car in the top. Now back to this review.

My goal this year is to read the most Tessa Bailey books as I can, to this day this is the oldest one I've read and it didn't disappoint. I wanted more to this story and I was sad that it was so short, but I still got the what I always expect from Tessa. A romance that devores me, I just wish maybe it had his POV.

But I'm obsessed with Shane and if he was a real life F1 driver I'd his biggest fan. (Even though my favorite is pure sunshine)

This had 1 "I've got you" and I fucking DIED.

This book was a great read. I loved Wila's character and I adored Shane. I thought the author did a great job of meshing those two together. I adored the secondary characters as well. Over all a great read and will be reading more from this author.

3.5 star read for me. I had issue with Willa's constant internal angst.

I just... I need more!

"After winning a photography contest, Willa gets a trip to Dublin. Fortunately for her, the trip is a perfect opportunity to get away from her problems, namely a heart-twisting breakup. When she meets tough, brass Shane Claymore whose family hosts her stay, she does her best to push aside the attraction she feels for him, especially as it gets her more confused than ever over how she feels about her breakup. But as the two try to stay away from each, their chemistry won't seem to let them stay away for long. They will both have to learn what it means to open themselves up and be honest if they ever want to be together." Full review at Fresh Fiction: http://freshfiction.com/review.php?id=43288
