Willa was so much different here than in the first book. I had a hard time connecting to her.
I always wanted her to have her own book, but damn I wish I didn't. She was whiny, her monologues bored me, her freaking way to keep people away made me want to shake her.
I wanted to read something light and funny. I got something annoying and boring. Still I love Tessa Bailey and can't wait to read a new book.
I wouldn't mind a book about Patrick. He seems fun.
Ginger and Derek will stay ma favorite couple. I could read lots of books about them without feeling bored.

Mini Review: Short and Sweet
Spoiler Free.
An Irish getaway to mend a broken heart? Yes please. Willa needs an escape after a nasty breakup, and when she meets pub/inn owner Sean, let’s just say, said ex is quickly forgotten.
I can sum this up pretty easily with one word, Cute.(but never fear, in true Tessa fashion, also a little spicy!

¿Perdona? Me parece ridículo. Y lo mal que la trata y cómo le echa toda su mierda encima porque si... en fin, yo ya me he cansado de este tipo de personajes. No me gustan.

The male pov is usually my favorite part of Tessa’s books so I really missed it in this one
This book was as bad as I expected it to be. Completely bland, perfectly tasteless. I'm surprised I made it through without pulling my hair out in frustration. So, where do I start?
Willa was as interesting as a dead leaf. No, wait. I find dead leaves interesting, they sometimes crunch under your sole and I love that little sound. I'm not sure what figure of speech to use to convey my thoughts so I'll put it simply: she was boring as hell. Her whole "I'm broken and unfixable" act was exactly that: an act. I simply didn't get it. I felt like she was trying too hard to be something that she wasn't deep down. The supposed pain and ugliness she felt were so shallow, barely described, barely explored. The author didn't bother to really go deep into her personality and her past and only scratched the surface of it all. The supposed pain she felt over Evan (or Edward, whatever her ex's name is), I didn't feel it. I felt nothing for her and nothing of what she said she felt. The author tried to make it look like there was some grief over her past and the way she was with her ex but it definitely wasn't believable and I didn't buy it one second.
Let's not even talk about the love interest here. I won't even bother. Well, just a brief description. Typical male MC, too good to be true, cocky, arrogant. You name it. The usual. Boring. The love story. The what? No, there was none. I won't even dive into this one. It's two in the morning and I'm tired as hell so hell to the no no.
This story could have been okay. Not good, only okay. The broken girl who doesn't feel enough for anyone? Who's got too much baggage to really make a relationship work? Yes, I believe that was a good plot. What did she do with her? Threw it in the trash with unnecessary filler chapters and characters we didn't really need. We never really got to dive much into her head, we didn't get to go past the "I'm so fucked up" whining to see what she truly thought of herself and her situation. It was always the same repetitive bullshit. There was potential in this. There was enough dark and pain and self-loath to make this good but damn, did she throw it away. And I'm pissed.
Anyways, the writing style wasn't too shabby I have to say but even that couldn't save the story. It was all so messed up and so bleak.
Unfixable, my ass. If there is one thing that's unfixable for sure, it's this book.
Not reading another Tessa Bailey book ever again

Really like this author, but god this was endless. 2 teenage angst ridden navel gazing stars.
3.5 - 4 stars
Willa Peet all grown up! Tbh, I don't know how to rate this. Tessa Bailey's writing is awesome as always. Willa, Shane, the pickpocket twins, Faith and Kitty are all awesome characters. I just don't know what's missing from the story, I can't find the wow factor in this.
