This is a religious book. It uses the Enneagram as a vehicle to Christianity, and a tool for that purpose. It's not very clearly stated in the blurb, but this is essentially a devotional. Very disappointed to have been so misled.

This is sort of a devotional/journal version of an enneagram primer for someone who knows their type but essentially knows nothing about the enneagram (which is probably a pretty rare person given you need to delve pretty deep into the system to learn your type!). I liked the ideas and her explanations were very clear and impactful. However, the simplicity just didn't work for me. This book has little to add for someone who is wanting to delve deeper into "growth".

This is a good little book of basic information and reflection questions for those who identify as Enneagram Ones.

It does provide some great insight specific to you. It also still points you to the Father.

I cried three times in the first 30 pages. While this is one book in a set of 9, I’m sure that Beth’s insight into your enneagram type will hit the nail on the head and help you understand yourself better, in light of Gods redeeming love! Grab your type book as soon as you can!
