Honestly, I don't get the low rationg on this book! It's a fun romp with demons and high school adventures in one book, and I had a great time reading it!

I felt like this whole book was an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Not sure if I would promote this to a teen, I think adults would like it better. Cyn was super funny and I was laughing through the beginning of the story, not so much throughout the rest of the story. It got very serious toward the middle and all the way toward the end.

I’m not sure if the writing quality deserves five stars. But Holy vow!! This was the most fun I’ve had in forever. I mean evil demonic librarians and teenage, roach girls. How do you get better than that?!!!

This book was a fun little romp. Quirky humor mixed in with some unpredictable crazy (aka a demon librarian). The writing was fantastic, straying from a lot of the cliches most books use today (and when they were used, the author blatantly pointed them out and made them the focal point of humor). The language was also oddly on point and very believable for what was supposed to be high school teenagers. I think the ending fizzled ever so slightly, but really, I didn't mind all that much. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'll be keeping my eyes open for any more books by this author.

At first I thought "middle school read, with language" I quickly changed my mind and fell in love with the characters. Good read, love the musical theater viewpoint!
