This was one of my favourite Ramona books.  So much happens in this book and I loved Ramona's reactions and responses.  I'm reading these books aloud to my nieces and they love them.

Ramona continues her adventures as she is in third grade and Beezus is a teenager - struggling with her father finding a job in another part of the state, her mother holding a secret (she’s pregnant!); most realistic depiction of a death of a family pet

It's been years since I read it, but I think this was always my favorite Ramona book.

So many sweet and funny episodes in this book. Ramona and Beezus finally escape after school care with the Kemp’s. They learn to work together and both grow up a lot in this book. The girls’ cool Aunt Bea gets married and Beezus helps with the planning. Mr. Quimby puts his teaching career on hold to start as a manager for the Shop-Rite. And lovely Mrs. Quimby has a new baby making Ramona the middle girl-both younger and older sister rolled into one. The most bittersweet chapter has the girls dealing with Picky-Picky. So poignant.

One of the better Ramona books. I really enjoyed hearing about the wedding plans for Aunt Beatrice, the baby plans for their mother, and all the other basic family drama. The reader is so great with the voices, especially Howie.

The final of (to me) the original Ramona books. Looking forward to Ramona’s world and the henry books. As usual deals so well with the emotions of everyday childhood, relationships between siblings, and learning to understand that grownups aren’t perfect either. Ramona and beezus show great responsibility and grow up quite a bit in this one.

A delightful read aloud. I just love Ramona so very much. I have enjoyed sharing my childhood favorite with my kids over the past year. We have read the whole series. We have one more to go. I think we will all be a bit sad when we finish. I love the final line of this book. Ramona says that “she was winning at growing up.” Ramona really does embody what it’s like to be a kid at all of her different ages.

I love this Ramona book. My favorite part is when they tie the shoes to the bumper.
