This was the perfect time of year to read this! I thoroughly enjoyed this, it was a really engaging read. I loved the characters, especially Villiers - I thought he was hilarious! There was soooo much representation in this for both disability and LGBTQ+. I cannot wait to follow the cast and their next adventure in Twleve Bones!!! Sadly I have to wait until the new year because I've asked for it as a Christmas present and I know it's already been brought so :( that's kinda sad.

Excellent book. Excellent disability rep, interesting story (by the time it ramped up to the climax I couldn't put it down!), complex characters, heartwarming interpersonal connections (not just the romantic subplot). In all, a book I will joyfully revisit in the future and I hope very soon to get my hands on the sequel.

It’s not really my genre but I needed to read it for work.
My main thought is that it’s just way too complicated. I know I tried to skim through some of it and I couldn’t be bothered with all the paranormal detail, but I’m just not sure it needed to be so complex.

I think I understood the idea of a deathloop but what happens later was just beyond me.

I didn’t find it scary/spooky because it’s so complicated and unbelievable: that’s the way my brain works. It might well be spooky for someone else.

Not my cup of tea at all. Only positive for me was representation of someone who is a double amputee with prosthetic legs. That doesn’t happen much in fiction as far as I’m aware.
