The characters are so lovable and I loved Linus’s character development— you really got to see him slowly fall in love with everything about Marsayas. This book was so lovley. A little slow in the middle of the book around the end of the first week on the island, but it picked back up after a bit. Loved the ending.

4.5-5 stars

I will say this book is precious!

The reason for me it could drop to a 4.5 star is because to me the beginning was a little slow. It took about 70-80 pages to really get in to the book.

I loved all the kids on the island! They were all adorable and I wanted to hug every last one of them.

I think that the romance wasn’t the main focus, it was mainly the made family and how even a small voice can make a difference.

I do really like this book, I am so glad it lived up to the hype.

I wished we got to see more of a relationship with Arthur and Linus, but the relationship with the kids really made up for it!

Fatfobia rampant. Unlikeable characters. Oh, and apparently the author took inspiration from the Canada’s Sixies Scoop. And then did not handle it well.

So wholesome, so British,  and so well written. I loved the attention to detail involved with each character and their development. I DEVOURED this book. I also just love this type of sci-fi/fantasy humor  10/10.
