This isn’t just about the sourdough starter, it’s about the places it’s been and the friends it made along the way.

Sweet and charming. I’m not sure I would have loved it so much if I didn’t keep  a sourdough starter, too.

Sloan draws out an especially compelling and vivid world for bread lovers through the eyes of protagonist Lois.

Just delicious. The description of the archives is one of my favorite parts, though certainly not central to anything.

A fun read. I like this author’s fantastical story telling but always find myself wishing he’d left out one or two plot lines.
