Unsurprisingly, the story of a woman discovering the joys of sourdough baking in a capitalist hellscape very much resonated with me. Also I never had a clue where the story was going which I enjoyed a lot.

Who knew bread could be so mystical and sourdough starter could be charming? A story that leaves you reconsidering your priorities, ambitions, and the rate of innovation/civilization.

Interesting exploration of the intersection of the organic and the technical and what could happen ( both real and magic real) when respect is a casualty of clever exploitation. Secondary characters can be a little shadowy but are also really nicely captured with some precision writing . Quirky, charming and entertaining. Even has its own Bond villain.
