This is a beautiful story but don't let the saccharine book jacket fool you. Bring tissues. It's worth every tear.

Some of the decisions the characters made and their reactions to things kind of pissed me off & the relationships (outside of mia and cricket) could have been developed a lot more. It is supposed to be an emotional and heartfelt story of sisterhood, family, and sacrifice but I left feeling rather unmoved. It wasn't a bad book it was entertaining and compelling at times but something about it felt empty.
