This one was a favorite of mine, Marco's parents are such fun characters and the deeper exploration of Marco and Alana's marriage was very beautiful.

Idk if I’ll continue the series like I think some sci fi isn’t for me and I’m trying to find what works for me. I like the 2 main characters though. This was good but i don’t know if I’ll continue the series or not.

The second volume with issues #7 through #12 flow just as easily as the first set of issues but with a number of difficulties.

The side-plot occurring on the egg planet was necessary to reintroduce the babysitter ghoul but was sidelined in comparison to the dialogue occurring between Alana and Marko's father. Even the dialogue between the two feels linear and very typical of hostile encounters between a father and his daughter-in-law. Another low point in the issues was the background story on Alana and Markos and the friendship and eventual loving relationship that brews between the two seems not genuine.

The Will's plot with Gwendolyn was much more interesting, as the Will's emotions are further examined. Even the Robot Prince's advancements on finding the two lovers and their child, along with his gruesome flashback, flip back emotion into the series. I'm sure that the dialogue and the plot between Alana and Markos with his parents was merely rudimentary and necessary. Because of that, this volume receives a 4 but leaning almost to a 3.

Rating Update 4/5/2019- 4 stars to 3 stars. After reading the synopsis, I find that my criticisms mentioned in the review would lower the rating of this volume to 3 stars. I believe both readings would have rendered the same rating of 3 stars.

Update 24 June 2019
With the adoption of my new rating system, a three star rating is befitting. I remember reading the volume for the first time and finding most of the volume being worthy of a three star rating despite the "difficulties", as stated in my original review. The scenes with Prince Robot IV are definite four star rated content but are not enough to raise the volume to a four star rating.

September 14, 2019
Update
I have skimmed through the comics to decide if this volume should be lowered to two stars and found the three star-rating to be appropriate. There are the flashbacks with Markos and his father when his father dies, and scenes with The Will and Prince Robot IV that lift this volume to a three star-rating from what I would infer to be a 2.5 star cumulative rating.

Update
Continuing on the minimum 2.5 star-rating that this volume has, as written in the update from September 24, 2029, there is also the constant liking of the volume that I believe I had while reading the entirety of it. This is at the minimum a definite 2.5 star-rating.

March 7, 2020
Update
There is five star-rated content in the final issue of the volume, when Prince Robot IV has flashbacks while having heated talks with Heist. I will not rate the volume higher than a three star-rating because, although there is five star-rated content, I do not believe that the previous content allows for buildup and because there are numerous criticisms mentioned in the original review.

The original review attempts to subvert them though: "I'm sure that the dialogue and the plot between Alana and Markos with his parents was merely rudimentary and necessary. Because of that, this volume receives a 4 but leaning almost to a 3". I argue against this, first because the correlation of the stars was valued differently at the time of when the original review was written, and now could possibly be read as follows: "This volume receives a three but leaning almost to a two". The second reason is that the five star-rated flashback is amid much precluding criticism from other sections. It's as if the volume struggles to maintain a three star-rating up to that point (along with scenes of Prince Robot IV and The Will) and now is being questioned if it reaches a four star-rating because of one concluding scene. I argue against the rating being raised to four stars.

The color of the rating remains yellow based off of the previously mentioned position because, although I lean to the belief, there may be a lost or hidden memory that does not support my current position.

I have changed the rating type away from 3CC to 3O. The 3CC rating type read as follows: "Similar to the 3C type rating: “A book with four star content [a quarter of the book] but brought down to a three star rating because of two star rated content [half of the book]. The book is consummate so retaining a four star rating is impossible because everything links to each other. The four star-rated stuff is not built from the two star-rated stuff”. Also, there is some three star-rated content (a third of the book). And yes, I understand that the fractions add to more than 100%. It’s all relative and can vary. Imagine a +/-". I have pasted it here since this was the previous rating type considered in the previous update, although I am not sure if previous updates beyond the most recent update used the rating type.

Such drama in the comics! I’m really enjoying this graphic novel, and I just want to read the whole thing in one sitting! Great illustrations, complicated engaging story. I definitely recommend it!

Great story, great characters, I really love Marko and Izabel.. but I can't keep reading.. The problem with this book is that it has sex in it.. and that really makes me uncomfortable.. So these comics aren't for everyone! And it's a shame that I don't like that theme because I love the characters, the story and the art style.. but I can't keep reading..
