For me, this volume wasn't as great as the first one was, but still an enjoyable read. We learn more about Marko's past and his family which adds to the story. But all in all I was missing the overall plot. There wasn't happening as much as in the first book and some characters only appeared on 2 or 3 pages and I was quite missing them and their stories.

Side note: I was reading this in German as it is free on kindle unlimited! The translation was awful! Maybe that also plays a role in me not enjoying this as much as book 1.🤷🏻‍♀️

This was as awesome as volume one!

I particularly liked this a lot:

- Marko's father
- Slave girl
- the flashbacks/dreams of various characters
- the illustrations

I cannot wait to start with volume three!

As I stated in my review for volume one this graphic novel is addicting. I am somewhat glad I didn't just buy all the volumes when I seen them at my local book store. If I had I wouldn't have been able to adult. I read two volumes in one day!

This series just gets better and better. I cannot wait to continue this series!
