Abigail found love in a billionaire named Bruce. She’s weeks out from her wedding and on her Bachelorette party meets a handsome stranger who she regrettably has a one night stand with and vows to forget it ever happened. That is, until he shows up on her honeymoon claiming to be in love with her. Now her honeymoon feels tainted and weird things keep happening making her terrified for her life and wondering who exactly she just married.

I don’t think any book will ever top The Kind Worth Killing by Swanson but this book was still fairly enjoyable. The first 100 or so pages are a pretty slow build up but then it’s pretty hard to put down after that. I don’t necessarily think it’s a mystery as you’re able to piece together what’s really going on pretty quickly but it’s spooky and thrilling and keeps you wanting more. Leaves you wondering how on earth Abigail is going to get herself out of this life threatening situation and for that, I couldn’t put the book down. 4/5⭐️ from me as again… it was a bit slow/hard to get into to start.

Bit of a slow starter. I was getting worried this wasn't going to go in the dark direction I was hoping for but, oh boy, did Swanson deliver.

So twisted and satisfying!

Something about the way certain aspects were revealed has me thinking I'll eventually change my mind about this book, but for now, my rating is 4 stars, and it will probably stay that way because I don't change my ratings once they're locked in lol. This was SO fast-paced that it made it hard to put down. I loved how everything played out in the end. I was definitely creeped out COUNTLESS times while reading this, and there were a lot of graphic moments towards the end that made me wince. I loved the isolated setting, loved all the plot twists, loved that the author takes you from trusting one character to another one then back to the first one then he has you trusting absolutely no one. I will definitely be reading more of Peter Swanson in the future.

The story was intriguing, but the writing style didn’t work for me.
