Enjoyed this more than The Shadow Over Innsmouth, but man I really hate the way he writes accents. It's so hard to read. It also isn't lost on me that the only character whose dialogue is written with no accent is Dr. Armitage aka Lovecraft's self-insert character. 🙃
Moderate: Racism and Body horror

Thoroughly enjoyed some stories, others I found unreadable. I would give the Color Out of Space and the Thing on the Doorstep 5 stars.
I do love the writing style and the voice of words, the prose is fantastic regardless of the quality of the story, but some of the ideas weren’t palatable to me. Mostly the racism.
