I enjoyed the slow-burn elements of this one, but something about this one just felt odd to me? I am not sure if it's the veil of patron of the arts/sugar mommy or what.

I received an ecopy of this book through Netgalley; however, my opinions are my own

Wow! Okay, so I read this author's debut last year and while I didn't absolutely love it - there were things that immediately jumped out to me that put their next book on my radar - an interesting premise, relatable characters, and really fun banter. Flash forward to me picking this up and literally tearing through the pages! Not only are the characters in this way more likable than the 1st book, but everything is better. You can see how the author has evolved through their writing, and it came through in the best ways. It legitimately felt like something Ali Hazelwood had written. There were some places that it could have been improved, but it honestly just made me very excited for the next book - since I loved the side characters in this just as much as the main characters - and I can't wait to read their story!
