ew.

I want to rate this lower at 2-stars but I'm feeling a little generous today.

In short, the content of the author's message is good. It's sound advice ultimately with the mantra that no one needs a formal title of "leader" or "manager" to act proactively as a leader. This is true of anyone regardless of position within a company or your life in general.

That's where my praise of the author's book stops. Unfortunately, for me, the delivery of the message and content was awful. I felt like the author sensationalized the advice and wrote a pretty poor storyline to convey the message. Not having read any other books from Mr. Sharma, I'm not sure if he's considered a novelist. If he's not then this shouldn't really be a surprise.

I also took issue with the fact that this advice shared a lot of themes with Steven Covey's book, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I much rather preferred Covey's message and how he delivered the same basic information that Sharma does.

Having said all that, Sharma's technique WILL reach certain audiences and provide some value. This is ultimately why I thought this book was closer to the 3-stars than 2.

Cute story, great characters and side stories. Was hard to remember all the acronyms though, be sure to get a pad of paper and pen ha!

Inspiring read,definitely

Had to read for work. Absolutely hated every moment of it :)

I've listed, rated and reviewed this book as a warning to others. By far one of the most painful presentations I've experienced. The message isn't too bad. There's a good 6 slide powerpoint presentation in there somewhere. With a big font.

Beautiful.
