This series is getting to be a bit redundant, which maybe only bothers me because I’m reading them back to back.

Diving into Eredine and Arran's story was a long-awaited treat!
I've always been interested in Eredine's story and it's fascinating to finally learn her secrets alongside Arran. Despite her steadfast presence within the Adair clan, Eredine's fear and walls kept her true self hidden from others—until Arran enters the picture.
Arran, has his own demons but falls deeply for Eredine and is determined to break down her walls. His unwavering patience speaks volumes about his commitment to her. Witnessing Eredine confront her fears and let down her walls for Arran is a testament to her strength and profound love for him.
I also really appreciated the portrayal of their interracial relationship. While not the central focus, the narrative subtly touches on the nuances of Eredine's experience as a woman of color in a predominantly white community as well as little things that we do such as the silk wrap, made her and this story more authentic.

I really enjoyed Arran and Eredine! We meet Ere in the beginning of the series and know there is something she is hiding. Arran is one of the Adair bros that's been absent for many years. He's never felt like there was a place for him in the family. He's been a bit lost. When he comes back home, he meets Ere and is immediately taken with her. She fascinates him because she's private but has a sassy attitude. She doesn't allow anyone passed surface level and he wants to be. They quickly become best friends and then they add benefits. 🤭 I often felt sad for Arran because he's already in love with her and tries to convince himself that he can abide to her rule of no relationship. The push/pull between them and the suspense of what she was hiding was so entertaining!

I did enjoy reading this story, but it just left me indifferent at the end.

ahhh god i’m so soft for Arran Adair and Eredine Willows, i will not hear a bad word about them. i can’t even put a finger on why but i think this is my current favourite in the series just purely because of the two of them.
i loved that Arran was just an outright flirt from the start and that he didn’t care who Eredine is or what her past was, he treated her exactly like he would anyone else he had a crush on. and i loved that you could actually see how much more confident and open Eredine was throughout the book, with herself, with Arran, and with the rest of the Adair clan.
