Only read this book if you want your heart ripped out multiple times. It does a wonderful job of helping us to explain who Haymitch was, who he became and why, and why he did what he did during The Hunger Games. 

I listened to the audiobook and it had my full attention the entire time. I knew what was going to happen ultimately, yet the suspense and tension gripped me.

I read this book in 3 sittings and less than 24 hours. Suzanne Collins strikes again. I cried multiple times. Highly recommend.

I'm just glad for the epilogue, otherwise it would've been too depressing.
