Stellar return to Panem. Haymitch’s story deserved to be told and it was totally worth the wait. I am blown away by Collins storytelling time and time again and i cant wait to read this again.

Susanne Collin’s has done it again. I was crying 2 chapters in. The Easter eggs, recurring cast of characters, and twists I couldn’t even prepare for had me on the edge of my seat every word. Things make sense as a whole after this book in the Panem universe, and ultimately, are much more relevant than we understand. Susanne makes you ponder how you would react and behave. She gives you sympathy for the most loathsome characters. She makes you fall in love with everyone, and hate them all at the same time. Wonderful read!

'A sister is someone you fight with and fight for. Tooth and nail.'

I'm not quite sure how i feel about this book. i mean obviously depressed, but i knew what the ending would be. This was just... sad.

I guess the overall message Suzanne is making is to not believe the government propaganda and keep fighting even when it seems impossible. But the story doesn't exactly put you in a fighting mood 😅
