To all the queer kids who long for love and attention, to the ones who'd break their own arm, if only to have somebody sign their cast...know that you are deserving of love without pain.

ok i thought it would be fun and cute to read this because i am rewatching teen wolf which i haven't seen in almost a decade, but now based off of the dedication i fear i will be in Pain

How do you rate someone's journey through trials and tribulation? How can you rate someone that their whole life seemed to be judged by what you see on the cover? It really is impossible.

It is crazy how we glorify celebrities but in the same breath knock them down like they aren't human beings. It is crazy we don't expect them to get old and wrinkled, or are appalled that celebrities have the audacity to have break downs or that we can't accept their sexuality. My heart broke with every struggle Colton went through and as I write this through blurred vision from crying I hope he continues his sobriety and makes the best healthy choices and if he doesn't, it's okay because he is human and we are not perfect.
This was extremely brave for him to pour himself out like this and though he doesn't need any admiration, he has it.
This was amazing in the sense that it really opens your eyes to what we don't see, what we don't want to see and what we choose not to see.
We never know what anyone is really going through especially with celebrities, so much is on display but yet nothing is on display.

How do you rate someone's journey through trials and tribulation? In all honesty you shouldn't, I shouldn't not that I am saying the book is bad, just the opposite it's freaking amazing.
I doubt Colton Haynes would ever read this but if it ever came across his view, ... You are a beautiful Soul, forever Miss Memory Lane xoxo

Deeply reflective personal memoir and raw emotions shared throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed getting to learn more about Colton on a personal perspective and understanding his trials and tribulations, additionally to all of his success. His triumphs definitely didn't come easy and my respect for him and his journey has increased significantly after this read (not that it was low before). Really easy read and kept me engaged the whole way through.

"Miss Memory Lane" by Colton Haynes is an emotional rollercoaster that leaves readers captivated, inspired, and undoubtedly reaching for the tissues. Haynes' debut into the literary world isn't just a book; it's a journey through heartbreak, resilience, and the transformative power of self-discovery.

From the very first page, Haynes invites readers into a world filled with raw emotion and authenticity. His storytelling grips your heart and refuses to let go. Through the lens of his own experiences, he navigates the complexities of love, loss, and identity with a vulnerability that is both brave and beautiful.

One of the most poignant aspects of "Miss Memory Lane" is its ability to serve as a beacon of hope for anyone struggling to find their place in the world. Haynes' journey of self-acceptance is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, reminding us all that it's okay to embrace who we are, flaws and all.

Moreover, Haynes' openness about his own struggles with his sexuality adds an additional layer of depth to the narrative. For many young boys, Haynes was more than just a talented actor; he was a symbol of possibility and acceptance. His portrayal of Jackson Whittemore in "Teen Wolf" on MTV served as a catalyst for countless individuals' journeys of self-discovery, making "Miss Memory Lane" not only a compelling read but also a source of empowerment for those who may be struggling with their own identities.

In essence, "Miss Memory Lane" is more than just a book; it's a testament to the power of resilience, authenticity, and love. Through Haynes' words, readers are reminded that even in our darkest moments, there is always hope waiting to be found. So, grab your copy, prepare for a tear-jerking journey, and allow yourself to be inspired by the beauty of Colton Haynes' story.

Wow! This memoir is beautifully written and deeply personal. I highly recommend it. It amazes me that he’s be willing to share so much of his life in such a public forum. But the fact he does evidences a tremendous amount of healing. With all the trauma and violence in his life, there’s so much hope in the healing he experienced as well.

I knew of Colton but wasn't completely aware of his story. What was most shocking to me was how candid he was in this book.

I live and have grown up in Missouri and was born in Arkansas . So reading about his time in these areas definitely hit home.

For as young as Colton is, he has been through several lifetimes worth experiences. I am proud of him for sharing his story and being so open about who he is, was, and would like to be.

Things are never quite what they seem and the amount of negativity that comes from being a "stereotype" is horrendous. If anything Hollywood would be so much more appealing if it was welcoming and didn't encourage people to be someone their not. While I understand the mass appeal of being secretive, how is the typical way we assume things about people ever going to change unless we embrace them.

It's always known that the typical Hollywood star is Heterosexual but the gay community needs representation as well. If I were younger and knew of an actor that was gay and playing in a show like Teen Wolf or Arrow, it would of made a huge difference in how I see the world and see myself and what my "worth" is and what I am capable of. Positive outside representation can help so many people on so many levels.

If for some reason you read this Colton, just know that if I saw you I would definitely give you a hug. Thank you for telling us your story. And why 3 stars? Because me being selfish just wanted the book to be a little longer, that's all.
