reading about weber with the kids, my heart melted. im not usually into books where characters have children to take care of, especially when the kids take up a significant amount of pages, but this was just so cute.
i would've liked to have read some chapters from cyrus' point of view, however. i won't complain too much about that, though, since weber is such a delightful character. it's just definitely a downside that i feel i didn't get an in-depth impression of cyrus.

Former bullrider/out of work drifter goes to visit his sometime-lover, a city neurosurgeon, and becomes a gift to his family as well. This was a marvelous novella.

So you will alternately smile or cry through this book. Not only are we treated to a pair of MCs the likes I haven't seen recently, Web and Cy, but Cy's family and assorted relatives make this an absolute treasure. The combination of the hotness of Web and Cy's relationship with the utter sweet romantic elements and themes of family and acceptance made this a book I will remember always. The kind of book that just gives you hope. The ending just wrecked me! Just superb!!

I love this story, it’s now turned into a comfort read for me.
The audio version is just as good as reading it. The voices really come to life

4.5 stars - I didn't care for most of the epilogue. But the voice, Web's voice throughout the novel, is just fantastic. He is all cowboy, and I was raised around cowboys. I kept having flashbacks!

I really really liked this! The only reason it got 4 stars was the scene they met in. It was hot but kind of out place with the rest of the story. I freaking loved Weber just like everyone else.

I love this book so much. I've read it a few times, one of the few I actually do that with. And it never gets boring or stale. I still always root for Web and Cy. I still always believe in their love. This is fluffy to the extreme but it works. I always find myself smiling. Sometimes you just need something to make you happy, and this book does that for me.

Love this story. It's warm and real without extraneous angst or fluffy detail. Even minor characters have depth and texture, but without sacrificing the pacing or plot.

The phrasing and word choices have a polished, well loved feel that is a perfect match to the voice of the narrator. The love scenes are smoldering, maintaining an emotional honesty that is sometimes lost in the quest for a really spicy narration.

This is my first novel from this author, I can't wait for the chance to track down more.
