I read this book in one session, couldn't put it away. Another hit for Mr. Bryndza, looking forward for more books.

This is the first book I have read from this author so I wasn't familiar with the series but this didn't impact on my enjoyment of the book and it certainly can be read as a stand alone.
The book opens with a graphic and chilling prologue that had me gripped from the start when
detective Erika Foster stumbles across a gruesome murder scene on a walk in her new neighbourhood. A wannabe true crime podcaster has been brutally murdered in her apartment. Trying to establish what she was working on and who her connections were proves challenging for Erica and her likeable team but as the detectives dig deeper all is not as it seems, especially when another woman is murdered in the same apartment block.
A very enjoyable twisty 'whodunnit' with some intriguing characters which had me guessing right up until the end.
I am grateful to NetGalley and the publishers for my ARC of this book.

Another twisty mystery in the series! I enjoyed following Erika and her colleagues as they uncovered the sinister plot. It also had some cute moments, like when Erika found and adopted a cat

I had a feeling that it was who it was. You couldn't get away from his creepiness.

I could do without the extreme detail of the 2 poor women's murders.

I sincerely hope Erika's new friend is a good guy and sticks around. She really does deserve some goodness coming her way.

What an amazing story this was! This was my first book by this author and I can see me picking up many more in future.
I understand this is part of a series but for me it worked well as a stand alone book. There were obvious area's that I would have known about had I read the previous books but they did not distract from the tale in any way.
This book is so twisty it's kind of amazing that anyone was who they seemed to be by the end of it with all the false trails that we were lead down. There is a very satisfying ending however and that is why I will be looking out for more of this authors works.

This is my first introduction to Detective Erika Foster and author Robert Bryndza and if this story is anything to go by I will definitely be reading more!

As Fatal Witness was a gripping crime thriller that sees DCI Erika Foster stumble across a crime scene when on a late night walk in her new neighbourhood she hears a blood curdling scream coming from some flats and finds a woman who has discovered her sisters mutilated body.

And as Erika and her team including the wonderfully named Kate Moss dig a shocking discovery is made and a neighbour arrested. But with a powerful ally in his corner, Erika is going to have to tread carefully.

Yet, with all evidence of the victims latest true crime podcast recordings missing and a second body discovered nothing is making any sense.

And with a long list of suspects this was certainly a story that kept me guessing and I was sure I had the killer nailed. But I couldn't have been more wrong if I tried; and with a shocking confrontation with the real killer this was a compelling tale. That fans of the series and genre are sure to love.

Another solid DCI Erika Foster investigation. A brutal murder, mistaken identity and too many suspects. A fast paced investigation with the frustrations of missed evidence. There is a great cast who I've come to really love. Bryndza knows how to shape an investigation,  then twist it away, stall it and bring it to a crescendo. I do love an armchair police investigation mystery. I would watch this as a TV series and the stories would easily translate.
