A fun little side story for fans of Lumberjanes and Gotham Academy. I have been putting this one off until I finished reading Gotham Academy. I've already read almost every piece of Lumberjanes content available, but Gotham Academy just didn't jump out and bite me in the same way that Lumberjanes did so I've only read the first volume, and I was worried that I wouldn't understand the story because of this.

That said, I think that the first volume of Gotham Academy is all that is needed to have read in order to enjoy this crossover. This comic requires that you have a familiarity with both Lumberjanes and Gotham Academy in order for it to make sense, but I think a familiarity is all that is needed. Of course I'm sure I didn't pick up on some things and some of the characters were not particularly familiar to me, but it didn't really matter.

The story is fun, the characters work well together and the plot was much more impactful than I thought it would be for a crossover oneshot comic.

I would recommend this for fans of Lumberjanes and Gotham Academy, for those who like one or the other, but not for those unfamiliar with either series.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish this one. It was more focused on Gotham Academy than Lumberjanes. Not as fun. So I gave up.

I was sad.

Mixed feelings on this one. I adore the Lumberjanes, but not knowing anything about Gotham academy made the inside character jokes hard to follow. Also, the art style inexplicably changed towards the end? And the story felt bloated and unsure of where it was going. I’m not sure who’s the target audience for this, but speaking as a Lumberjanes super fan, this was a miss.

Haven't read Gotham Academy OR Lumberjanes really, but the combo was facinating enough to pick up. I may pick up volumes of both series now!

This was stellar!

As a long time reader of Lumberjanes, this was a fun ride, filled with the same charm of Lumberjanes with the added mystery of the Gotham Academy gang. I haven't really read Gotham Academy so I can't speak much on that, but the characters from that series were equally as mischievous and paired well with the cast of Lumberjanes.

Overall, if you're on the fence about reading this comic, please don't be. It gripped me from start to finish. I'm definitely going to read Gotham Academy now!

meh. read to get a Lumberjanes fix. This, I assume, is mostly done in Gotham Academy style, which I was not a fan of...so won't be reading that series.
