The size put me off this for ages but I finally picked it up and I’m so glad I did! I was worried that it was going to drag because of the size but it didn’t, nicely paced the whole way through. I flew through it much quicker than I was expecting, I loved everything about it. I was obsessed with Aero, I’d let that man do anything to me tbh. I loved seeing Briony grow and become more badass. I LOVED the spice, had me sweating constantly. Loved how the story played out. Without spoilers I was worried the big thing at the end wasn’t going to be enjoyable to read, but i did end up really enjoying how it played out. This was one of those books that I was actually gutted to end, so glad I finally picked it up.
This was the definition of a dark romance and I ate this up. At first I wasn’t clicking with the whole religious storyline, but the darker the plot got the more I started to realise the relevance of it to their relationship.
Aero’s character was very morally grey, this man was messed up and didn’t hold any of his darkness back when it came to Briony. He wasn’t planning to change for her, he was planning on bringing her to the dark side, and boy did he.
Briony has great character development we really see her go from the oppressed, eyes closed, virgin good girl, to a bad ass, sexy, dominant heroine. Their relationship is anything but the ordinary but they are perfect for each other.
The spice in this was hotttt, all the chilli stars for this book. If you’re looking for a dark romance with stalking and an unhinged sexy MMC, definitely give this a go.

the smut got overwhelming like there was constantly something going on and as much as i like it at one point it became too much
honestly kinda crazy lowkey toxic but i started this book knowing that
i kind of missed the stalker part, that was the entire reason why i read this book so…
also the authors spelling and grammar doesnt always make sense so that was disappointing 😭

DNF @ 33% …
i started reading this because people wouldn’t stop recommending it and there was quite a few comparisons to zade.. but, i couldn’t make it past 33% even if i wanted to. one, nobody should ever compare aero to zade ever again, they have nothing in common (except stalking). two, the fmc was just a simp for a stalker. where’s the fight? where’s the mental warfare?
i also dnf because i couldn’t get with the writing style but that’s a me problem.

It’s rare that I can’t finish a book, but every so often, one comes along that defies my every effort to keep going. This was one of those books. From the outset, the narrative jumped from scene to scene with dizzying speed, and each time it left me more confused than before. Rather than a coherent storyline, it felt like a series of unrelated snapshots with no context to ground them or help me connect the dots.
I found myself flipping back pages, wondering if I’d missed something, only to realize the book just…wasn’t giving me any of the tools I needed to follow along. Moments that seemed like they should’ve been significant were quickly swept aside by another abrupt change of scene, leaving me with no sense of continuity. Just as I started to grasp where one scene was headed, the book would catapult into an entirely different setting.
After a while, it felt less like reading a story and more like trying to solve a puzzle with missing pieces. Some readers may appreciate the experimental structure, but I found it exhausting. In the end, I had to set it down, and although I may never know where the story was headed, I’m okay with that.
