I really enjoyed this one. I didn't like the ending of the last book in the series but it did allow for some really interesting themes to develop and I really enjoyed the development of Jason the Mint Murray and the relationship between him and Karen. 

I liked the slight unravelling of Karen with her grief which led her to make more risky and less "by the book" policing decisions. 

As always with police books, I hate how defence lawyers are portrayed in the police station. However, overall I really did enjoy this.

Loved the character and relationship development of both Karen and Mint. Once again, I had no idea how it was going to turn out!

Such a big fan of this series. The audiobook is fantastic and hearing the Scottish accent really adds a lot.

DNF. The tension in the story is from a tactless detective provoking a lazy, vengeful, not bright superior rather than intricacy of detection. I'm out. Who needs another one of those.
