Nope nope nope.

I wasn’t loving the writing or plot, it’s very tell not yet and a little disjointed, but this was a palette cleanser between serious reading. Three strikes too close together though so I had to DNF: Kross’ mom talking about how glad she is he didn’t choose a hoodrat, him bragging to Priest that she works 16hr days and always cooks him a hot meal and gives him head, him calling her straight hair look exotic. Yuck yuck yuck.

I’m not a fan of all of the racial slurs, dialect and overall “gangsta” vibe in this story. I’ve read books by POC before but this brings black stereotyping to a whole new level.

If I wasn't reading this on my Kindle I swear I probably would've threw the book. My emotions are all over the place now. This has me laughing one minute and ready to scream the next. It was so good. I like me some Kross but dude needs to stop hiding things from Suny.Time to read part 2.
