A great intro to age play with lots of suggestions and great explainers for those just wanting to understand the why. Importantly it covers the emotional and mental safety aspect of this kind of play too, doing a great job of ensuring people understand what can go wrong and how to engage responsibly and as safely as possibly in this form of play.

For more experienced age players it's still an interesting read.

I recently got into exploring the kink community so decided to pick this up. I intended to dismantle some of the quick judgments I’ve previously made about age play out of my internal biases. However, this book is very outdated. I have since done my own research on people in the modern age play community. This book came out in 2008 and did not age well, in my opinion. Sensitivity readers were needed in regards to conversations about childhood trauma, sexual violence, and Consensual Non Consensual activities. The way those conversations were had were very triggering and honestly quite disgusting. I deducted points for other minor things as well, such as: calling trans people ‘transexuals’ a term that we no longer use, the word used to refer to Indigenous people, and a reference to the TERF magic book. The only reason why this book was not given a one-star review was that I liked the discussion about how age play can be 100% non-sexual. I also liked the emphasis on consent and respecting your partner’s boundaries.
