This one was just ok. It felt a bit as if it were going round and round without moving forward. But I like this series because it is not taxing in any way.

The theme of these books is that Agatha is absolutely hopeless but at the same time manages to get the case solved. I was really happy/disgusted with this book because finally she was getting some sense to her about how her life was running and then her husband goes missing. She spent most of the book trying to solve the case and wondering if James was alright because he’s disappeared without a trace. Then she finds out that he is actually a coward who ran away because he can’t face her. She never really confronts him nor gets very angry(she had grounds for a very good divorce settlement). But instead chooses to move on and let him leave unscathed after putting her through hell. She’s a better person than most but at the same time it would have been better to see her get everything.

I ❤️ Agatha! I’m so happy that it looks like James “Twat Waffle” Lacey is out the picture finally!!! His treatment of Agatha in this book was beyond deplorable. Charles is amazing and I loved finding out the reason why he is so cheap lol. This was probably one of my favorite of the series so far.

I really hate James Lacey in this one.
