What a long-ass book. Years back, I went through a Brandon Sanderson phase and worked my way through the Mistborn Trilogy. I read WoK around that time but haven’t really kept up with the series given how stinkin’ long the books are. I definitely think another factor was gravitating more towards diverse authors and character-driven stories, whereas Sanderson’s writing feels more… traditional fantasy? Maybe that’s just me.

All that being said, I was surprised by what I remembered of WoK given how long ago I read it and how much happens in 1200+ pages. Most of what I retained was Kaladin’s arc, since it was the most exciting/memorable.
