My second read in this series. I enjoy the blend of mystery and supernatural that Connolly uses in this series, and just when you think it is getting too dark the Fulci brothers appear. The hints about his daughter Sam did leave a chill, and I am looking forward to the next installment. Until then I will fill in the back story with the prior books in the series

Epic as always. Charlie Parker is my most favorite fictional character ever. The ending gave me goosebumps.

Absolutely fantastic return to form - some real twists and turns! I'm just glad Waterstones had copies for sale yesterday so now when I get John to sign the book on Friday I can grill him about what's to come.......Fantastic read

I went back and forth between 4 and 5 stars. I really enjoyed this book and loved the revelations and questions it provided. It was slow going in places, but that may be due to my time, rather than the book itself. Two books til I'm caught up. I really love this series.

How is it that after thirteen books in the series it just keeps getting better? Amazing. Parker has finally embraced his destiny. That last two pages, specifically the last three lines are fantastic. I cannot wait for the next installment.

How do these keep getting better with every novel? My only regret is that I know I am almost caught up on the series, and then what will I do while I wait for even more Charlie Parker?

This book and the installment before it in the Charlie Parker series have both been so good (and so creepy and demented and smart and well-written). I'm just sad I have to wait for the next one :(
