I initially liked the idea of the story.
I gotta do it in German know….
Aber irgendwie hat es mich dann nur teilweise abgeholt, anfangs war es etwas gezogen und dann kamen auch ein paar Stellen zum Kichern, aber viele Sachen haben sich einfach überflüssig und sinnlos angefühlt. Manche Streitigkeiten konnte ich nicht nachvollziehen, an der anderen Stelle war es unnötig überspitzt. Die Liebe, die zwischen den Beiden entstanden ist, hab ich jetzt auch nicht so gemerkt.

I appreciated the difference in the convenience marriage/forced proximity where it’s typical to have most of the book where the couple is ignoring that there is no possible way the other could be attracted, etc. There is affection and Calvin was a cozy warm blanket, I loved the batter, dialogue, his affection. I really enjoyed the fun of this book, romantic but not over the top smut.

I enjoy more or less everything Christina Lauren writes, and ROOMIES was no exception. As a Broadway geek myself, I really appreciated the role that musical theater and music in general played in the story. If you enjoy rom-coms and the marriage of convenience trope, sexy Irishmen, or floundering heroines who are struggling to figure out their twenties/what to do with the rest of their lives, you should definitely give this a read.
Wayyyy miscommunication trope. Idk I liked the book and thought it was a good storyline but there were definitely some like uhhh what moments.

I loved the story so much. Perfect blend of chick-flick cuteness and passion. I loved the main character and her coming into her own self, especially toward the end. The guy was also completely lovable even with his faults.
