2.5 I wanna give this a 1.5/2 so bad… but I gotta give credit where credit is due. I’m angry, but I enjoyed myself.

Hollander is a jackass. Very sweet girl, up until the last third, and then her trying to self-improve just kind of makes her a jackass. … All the things that happen and THESE are the things that upset her or are most important to her… bye.

Needed a palate cleanser from the murder-y books I've been reading. This hit the spot. Cute. Quick. Sweet.

Christina Lauren have done it again, I adored every single word of this book!!!! They create some of the most compelling female main characters and relationships I’ve ever read. Was literally in tears by the time I finished this book

After reading a few pretty “heavy” books in a row I needed something lighter, and this was it. No death or war or destruction or disease, just a complicated marriage-of-convenience romance that made me laugh out loud more than once. Yes there was drama at the end that threatened to tear them apart, but it’s a romance, so you know they’ll figure it out in the end. Exactly what I needed to read to refresh my palate!

4.5 Stars!

This is one of those stories that just pulls you in more and more the further you read. It got to the point that I didn't want to put the book down to leave for work and I was anxious to pick it back up as soon as I could. It did start out a bit slow. Also, Holland was a pretty awkward character. It took me a bit to connect to her but once the story got Calvin more involved, the pages just really started to fly by. You get invested in these two pretty quickly. I was expecting this to be more of a humorous story but it really was more emotional. It ended up being an unexpected read for me in a very good way.

This was definitely a unique story. Following Holland and Calvin's adventure about first getting married, then getting to know each other and THEN falling in love (in that order), was really something.

They are wonderful characters and it was a joy to follow their story. Christina Lauren books never disappoint. They are always such a wonderful mixture of romance and humor.

I could have done with a little less drama at the end and more HEA time, but that's just a personal preference.

This book was wonderful, and I can't wait to read all the other amazing Christina Lauren books that I haven't managed to read yet.

You know when you get the right book at the right time? That just happened. Full review to follow

I really liked it. Audiobook narrator good too.

Holland and Calvin marry because he needs a green card. She is an aspiring writer and he is a julliard-trained guitarist.

Don't really feel like writing a review just now. Read more by this author.

The sex is kind of glossed over but also occasionally really hot
