3.5* I definitely didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first time I read it. In Roomjes we have Calvin and Holland in the subway station. Holland has enjoyed watching Calvin perform on his guitar and one day sparks up the courage to talk to him. A few days pass and Holland sees him again, but a loonie in the subway station pushes her onto the tracks. Holland wakes up receiving medical care only to find that Calvin was the one that called in the accident. At this point she did not know his name, only that she penned him Jack. So this mystery man goes out of his way to help her, but doesn’t give his name to the police? Sketchy.

Hollands uncle is the writer of Broadway’s top show at the moment, and they are in need of a new violinist. Holland pitches the idea of hiring a guitarist from the subway instead of an actual violinist.

Good book until the last 20%. It had me wanting to keep reading and craving the characters but they were still in the 3rd act breakup at 99% and it wrapped up too quickly to believe or enjoy.

A quick read that will leave your heart happy and smiling! I read this book in one sitting and while it had some cliché moments- I was all for it!

3 star out of 5
Not the best Christina Lauren book that I've read.
This is about Holland Bakker, who has a crush on a great street performer 'Calvin' and to get him a spot on her uncle Broadway show marries him(beacuse he is in USA illegally and he is that good) and the doubt and worry that comes after that, and how they fell in love with each other. How Holland begins to find out who she really is and what she really wants in life.

P.s:Lulu,Holland's best girlfriend was annoyingly as hell.

I was hesitant on what I would rate this book. But the last 10% for me really did bump it up from a 3.5 to a 4 star. I really loved the writing style. I am aware that this isn't the most popular Christina Lauren book so I am excited to pick up some of their more popular work. This was a great romance read and the narration work was fantastic. I highly recommend.

Probably more of a 3.5, but I rounded up for a romance that was actually written in a first-person voice that was comfortable to read aloud. My small peeves were all theatre-related.

Musica, Broadway, fake dating, new york.

Didn’t have to think too hard in this one, hah.
