a great start of the conversation of transformative justice. I want to have more of these conversations. I also needed to hear to the reminder focus on the possibility of change for myself and the systems rather than hopelessness that I have been believing for myself, others and the world.

Might write more later, but this reviewer has said most of what I would say. A lot of AMB's books feel unfinished or unedited to me. This one could have functioned as two medium posts just fine. This book has a very small target audience as well- very far left movement members who are part of a connected community.

Everything adrienne writes leaves me feeling smarter, more thoughtful, and more intentional. Even in short form writing, this remains true. Her gift to communicate complex ideas & subjects through a deeply human and empathetic lens always drives their points home. This piece in particular is a necessary read for anyone in movement spaces, and really, any human looking to move through the world with more love and grace.

It touches on the same topics that "How We Handle Harm; Contextualizing Harmful Behavior, Understanding Accountability, and Exploring Community Response to Intrapersonal Violence". I think this is a little bit more surface level but I really like how it addresses the critiques that were aimed at their original blog post. Definitely a must read for anyone, whether you are organizing with them, are in a romantic relationship with them, or are just friends, it needs to be something we practice in all our communities.
