This novella was a short, dark, and twisted read! This was a great blend of spicy, crazy, and just a splash of a thrill. I love how deranged Fenix is, he is truly obsessed with Kyree and makes it clear that he will go to any length to make her happy. Kyree has a traumatic past but she seems so sweet and timid. However it turns out she might not be as innocent as she seems… The twist at the end was something I never saw coming!

A very quick book that moves you from one place to the next in a flash. Insta-love and unhinged relationship, which for me says it all. Fenix and Kyree are something else. Nothing short of obsession with this one. Always one for a traumatic past, this one did not disappoint. Runa Nelson has done it again and I was very happy to be here for it. I can not wait to see what she comes up with next!

This short dark novella is good. Short but not sweet, well is kinda sweet what Fenix does in a triggering dark way. Please make sure to read the triggers and be mindful if what you can handle.
Kyree is reinventing herself after running from someone. After a couple years, she is back home. When she goes out with her new friend to a party, she meets Fenix. He is hansome and catches her eye.
Fenix is working as a bartender and chats up Kyree. He is definitely hiding things and when it seems like he knows Kyree, things get very dark and interesting.
Love the widow references that were used in this book and how everything came together. Glad I read.
