Lucy Score does it again with her books, honestly all the books I’ve read so far has blown my mind away.

Nash and Lina are that power couple, especially considering their backgrounds. I’m loving the found family trope as well with Lina slowly integrating into the small town. There were so many funny moments in the book that had me laughing out loud, especially any scene with Nash’s ass and Stef with Lina. I’m also glad that the story connects with the first book and that we discover about the Hugos until the end at least. It was also refreshing seeing how Lina was the one who held on the longest before caving into her feelings.

It was a really addition to include Nash’s trauma from the first book and how he overcomes it and deals with the depression and PTSD. I’m glad he also started to speak about his feelings to Knox and vice versa; it was characters development. It was also so cool when Lina and Nash worked together to get out of the warehouse from Duncan; it was almost like an action movie scene. Honestly, my favorite couple so far from this series.

Though of course, we can’t not talk about the lovely wedding of Knox and Naomi. I genuinely teared up reading that part because it was so wholesome and beautiful. I cried more when Knox knelt to the ground crying upon seeing his wife in her wedding gown and him giving Waylay a bear-crushing hug.
Let’s also talk about the bonus epilogue few years into the future! Lina with a baby, twins nonetheless, was surprising; also Nash passing out at the end was hilarious. I’m also excited to read Lucian and Sloane’s story after reading that part and they refer to each other has wife and husband.

Definitely a 5 stars.

I might have fallen in love with Knockemout too. I don't know what it is about that town, but I want to live there. This was a very good book, but it had quite a slow start for me, and because of that, it took me a while to really get into it. Hence the four star rating, because expect that i have no remarks about this book.

Generally do enjoy these stories but, as with the first book, it’s about 200 pages too long. While the book is full of character moments that show relationships among characters, they do nothing to advance the plot and bog down the story, and the same conversations are had multiple times, usually among the same cast of characters, with perhaps one change.

Also, author has a tendency to include “and everybody clapped” moments semi-regularly.
