Emilia spends another entire book telling us how great she is and then proceeds to...do absolutely nothing? She puts on one revealing dress after another and then calls it a day. Seriously she goes on and on about how baller she looks in her dresses and how the princes of hell better watch themselves but it is all anti-climatic bluster because she doesn't ever actually do anything. I have never encountered a character less determined to find their sister’s murderer. Nothing happened, nothing was solved and her sister is still dead but it’s okay because she’s a hot fierce girlboss with a hot feminist alpha male who rips out people’s tongues when they objectify her because of course he does.

I was going to give this book 3 stars because I just wasn’t impressed by it but all the plot twists at the end got me!
