➜ hero - Jeremy is cut from the same twistedly dreamy, manipulative, and controlling cloth that his father Adrian. He's the dream psycho possessive caveman anti hero. Like PSYCHO. But he also has so much soul and buried vulnerability, it somehow makes his over the top obsession even more magnetic and compelling.

➜ heroine - She’s not at all what she appears to be- in fact what many of friends assume her to be. The girl has buried parts of herself so deep. How she armors herself with intellect and stoicism, in caretaking for others. She’s a devastatingly beautiful heroine. And I FLOVE Cecily's heart and soul so much- she’s so kind and good at her core.

➜ overall review - Hero and Heroine in this story are complex characters with traumatic pasts that have left permanent scars on their souls and psyches. However, they see a part of themselves in each other and together they grow to overcome their traumatic damages and flaws to become whole beings that are simply obsessively and possessively in love. Their personalities complement each other and I loved seeing their angst and the soft spots they have for each other! I AM WAITING FOR ELI AND AVA

➜ smut -

I didn’t think I could fall in love with another couple more than I did with Creighton and Annika and then in walks Jeremy and Cecily

damn. Jeremy.

Ok Jeremy is somehow my most favorite and least favorite??? His psycho leanings were actually more distressing than I expected but he def has the most emotional intelligence of the guys I’ve read so far (killian, Niko, and lan).

I loved Cecily. Her character hit just right for me. I like that she stood up to Jeremy and was like THIS IS NOT HOW RELATIONSHIPS WORK YOU PSYCO and he heard her and adjusted. Whereas all the other FMC have just kinda been like well I like his brand of crazy it’s fine. I accept it. Definitely enjoyed this one.

First book I’ve read from the legacy of gods. At first I was struggling to click with it but I loved the relationship between Cece and Jeremy. I don’t think I will continue with the rest of the series but if I do, I’ll be sure to review.

There’s certain parts to this book that felt too repetitive and not needed.
