A very cute and quick read!

I thought the MC's made such a cute couple, I loved how supportive they were towards each other. Especially how understanding and loving Lane was to Hallie.

I am always a sucker for a MMC who is head over heels for the FMC and that is exactly how Lane was for Hallie.

I did get a little "not like the other girls" & "I'm so quirky" vibes from the FMC which is why I couldn't rate this book any higher LOL

I thought the climax and resolution were pretty predictable, but it was still super cute to read!

NGL, it took me a moment to wrap around my head that Hallie is younger than me (for context: she's 18, I'm 20). SO I FELT OLD LMAOOOOO.

Def recommend reading, if you're looking for a quick, spicy, soft, sports romance!

Homerun Propsal
By: Maren Moore

I'm living in my baseball era because it's baseball season!! This book has been on my TBR for awhile & with book 3 coming soon, I figured I'd better get on it.

So we have best friend's older brother, but there's no like fear of any like animosity between the characters. The opposites attract trope is done really well here, quirky conspiracy theorist fmc & the popular playboy all star.

This book was an easy read.
The family dynamic with Lane & his Dad was probably the most drama within the whole story, but it ended well. I'm glad to see that.

I thought when Hallie line drives that ball into Lanes scrotum, it was hilarious.
The team searching for the beads for his broken bracelet was so sweet.
The declaration of love was absolutely swoon worthy.

I like how Hallie was the “quirky girl” who likes conspiracy theories, aliens, 90s music, and has purple in her hair. She was confident in what she liked and who she was, and I love that!

Lane was the playboy pitcher for the college baseball team. And also, Hallie’s best friend's older brother.

Hallie makes a “proposal” to lose her virginity and gain confidence around men, and she mistakenly gives it to Lane instead of her bff.

I liked the proposal and the teach me aspect. But why is it always the girl who is an inexperienced virgin? Gimme a book where the roles are reversed, and we have a male virgin being taught!

This book was super cute and fun. Lane was SOOOOO sweet, thoughtful, and gentle.

I really enjoyed this and cannot wait to start the next book! The bits and pieces of Viv and Reese in this book tells me that I’m going to love their story!

Overall a very cute university romance, sporty athletic senior x nerdy shy inexperienced freshman.
It was easy to read, lots of smut and generally fairly wholesome cutie vibes.
What didn't click for me was the lack of sport. Now generally I'm a sporty gal outside of reading, however when reading a sports romance I've never really worried too much about how much sport content there is but for some reason, I was severely disappointed with the lack of sport in this book. The main character mentions that he plays baseball and he goes to practice like twice in the whole book but he's meant to be the uni's hotshot baseball player and there's only one game in the whole book and we hear nothing of it. I just wanted a little more sport throughout the story. Otherwise cute and easy to read, a nice romance story.

Total cliche, girl has crush on boy best friends older brother, who also has crush on her. Fake not having feelings and have an agreement to check things off girls “list” and lo and behold they have feelings. I totally love this stuff though. Cheesy, predictable, sappy. Sign me up.
