When people know you’re mentally ill, most people either want to ignore it completely or they treat you like you’re strange, scary, or fascinating. Very few people are actually good at the middle ground. The middle ground isn’t hard. It’s just being there. Being helpful, if help is needed. Being understanding, even if they don’t understand everything.

nick nelson, anytime i read about you i just wanna pinch your little cheeks. such a supportive little sweetie. i also love tori and the love she has for her brothers. charlie is such a strong character and i was proud of him listening to advice on how to manage his disorders from the people around him. and little oliver was adorable.
if you relate to charlie, please know you’re loved. and there are people who care about you. and resources. and programs. asking for help or even just confiding in someone is nothing to be ashamed of. and i hope you have someone strong in your corner during the holiday season (and every other day ). i love you and you’re never a burden.
