This novella definitely isn’t for everyone. It’s a book that tackles a lot of difficult/sensitive—but important— topics, (see content warning). If you’ve read the Heartstopper graphic novels it is important that you take these things into consideration before reading this book.

Aside from that, I think that it’s a novella that makes you reflect on things, and it gives you a great perspective into different mental illnesses. I feel that it is a just and correct portrayal of eating disorders, family struggles, and such. Something that I think Oseman always excels at.

I love that we get to see more of Charlie and Tori. But my favorite thing about this novella is a thousand times over OLIVER SPRING. He has stolen my heart and is refusing to give it back.

I used to think that difficult was better than boring, but I know better now.

. I loved it. It was a bit emotional and really great. I relate so much to Tori and how she feels guilty because she can’t help Charlie as much as she wants, and no sooner. But also to Charlie and how he feels bad for having mental illness. Anyway. Alice Oseman did it again
