A bit slower to start than I remembered but it has been 15 or so years since my last reading. Still love the story and the characters and the world.

(original review from 2011) I give this book 4 stars because I really am a huge fan of WoW lore. That being said, I can understand how someone who doesn't know anything about the games would dislike this book. Like many other people have said, there are mistakes in the writing, and yes, it tends to be choppy at times. However, I didn't feel like the writing was atrocious, it definitely did not keep me from reading this book. If you're a WoW lore fan, this book will definitely be of your liking.

Knaak hacks his way through another Warcraft tale. At least some of the characters were interesting this time around.

This was fine. I just needed something casual to listen to and I knew the Warcraft universe pretty well so this was an easy listen. Not super enjoyable but it was just kind of there. The equivalent of popcorn movies.

Not bad, not great but WoW Lore can be fun

These books are such great adventures!

I haven't read this book since I was a kid but picking it back up again was a true pleasure and I'm glad it has not worsened with age. It was good to go back and revisit the Warcraft universe before it had become too muddied and complicated. A reminder of simpler and more intriguing times. The story is great, characters are wonderful, and the writing, while not overly complex, is enjoyable.
