DID NOT FINISH: 62%

It was boring. All the books in the series were corny, but for some reason I couldn’t push through this one. It might be because they’re older talking like teens or college students? I couldn’t take the dirty talk  or really much of anything anymore.

Wes is trying to maintain a household of 6 siblings after his dad and stepmom pass and is struggling. He's pushing himself so hard that he's on the verge of crumbling. When he goes to fix an issue his brother Asher has with his math professor, he is shocked to find he's young and handsome. He eventually finds out Jasper's hate for hockey players stems from being bullied in high school by a few, with one actually breaking his nose. When Jasper's professor friend suggests Wes talk to Jasper about his younger sister dealing with bullies, he also suggests he go to Jasper's high school reunion with him as a trade.

Reunion night turns into a fake relationship, bullies being taught a lesson, and a spicy night in their hotel. But that one night was just the beginning and soon enough, they are realizing just how important the other is to them. Wes helps Jasper move past his high school grudge, and Jasper helps Wes with much needed me time, and realizing he is not alone.

This book was a great way to end the series. It was nice seeing a mature adult relationship after all the college romances. I enjoyed my time in this world so much.

DNF @ 29.
I just couldn’t get into this. Picked it up and put it down several times before calling it quits.

West and Jasper are very adorable. West marches into his office to give him a piece of his mind when he refuses to give Asher a chance at extra credit and the animosity turns into a deal. West will be Jasper’s date to his high school reunion. Jasper was seriously bullied as a kid and bringing an ex-NHL player to show off is petty but he wants to show off; only turns out bullies don’t change much. One night turns into a friendship and quick thrills.

Reasons I Recommend:

1) Love how they click, both sharing more personal things without realizing it from Jasper being bullied to the stress West is feeling raising five kids with his younger brother Asher

2) How quickly West realizes he needs a friend and how Jasper becomes more than he expected and

3) The delicate balance West is working on between big brother and father and how Jasper supports him.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

PS — We finally get a bit more into Ezra!

Quote 1: "Sorry, but it's not every night a six-foot-one wall of muscle shows up at my door for hugs."

Quote 2: Jasper turns to me. "Should I be more offended he thinks I can't be impartial or that he's under the impression I graduated high school thirty years ago? Excuse me while I go find some wrinkle cream."

Quote 3: "What?" he asks innocently. "You two look happy and cute. You almost make me want one of those relationship thingies."
"If you're calling it a thingy and not just a relationship, you shouldn't have one."
He shoves me as we walk toward his car.
"Hey, I said almost."
