Idk why I wasn't loving this. The description had me hooked but I just couldn't get super connected with the characters. It wasn't boring though, just not a 5 star like I was expecting. I feel the ending was too abrupt and the plot could've taken more time to build up. It was entertaining though, finished in a two days.

This book was great right off the bat. You think you’re going in for a slow burn sort of stalker thriller but it picks up right off the bat. Some of the more crazy, unexpected, wild plot lines are written so bluntly that you’re expecting a “haha just kidding that didn’t actually happen” but then you don’t get one. I’m stuck between loving Delilah and being afraid of her mastermind genius! I definitely recommend. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I felt like the story between Logan and Delilah started at a 10 and I would have preferred a bit more build up to the place in which they were at throughout the entire book.
Logan shows interest in Delilah and immediately finds everything out about her, then they go on their first date. Delilah discovers Logan’s motives immediately following that first date. As bad as it may sound, I almost would have preferred for Delilah to stay in the dark about Logan’s motives for a bit and to begin really falling for him, to then find out his plans. It would have allowed for an interesting internal conflict for Delilah about her feelings for Logan versus her feelings about him and his stalking of her.

I listened to this book on audio. This book had so much potential, yet the ending was extremely flat. I don’t know if it had to do with the narrators or it was the author’s doing. There were two of narrators. One female, one male. The male narrator did a fantastic job portraying his character. The female narrator made the story tough to listen to. Her expressions didn’t match up with the female character. The audiobook kept me engaged. At one point I was on the edge of my seat. Then it just ended. As if you were watching a video and you ran out of tape. Disappointed.

I loved the idea of this book, but the execution falls flat for me. I want to read about a very toxic love obsessed boy, as I'm sure many of us had to unfortunately deal with in high school. But the writing was way too rushed for me, especially toward the end, and I could have gone without the
drug subplot
as I feel what happened in the beginning was enough. I loved that the book did not hand waive away the relationship and portayed it exactly how it was, which I am so glad that the book does that, instead of making excuses for it like a million YA, and even a lot of Adult "romances" and romances in not quotes do. Not sure if it was just my copy, but i did not see a list of resources for readers who may be dealing with similar experiences that occur in the book, which i have wonderdfully seen some authors do, but was lacking in this one which rubbed me the wrong way, but again may have been my copy.  The great premise was there, but the sub par writing did not hold it through.

For most of the book, I was expecting to learn more about Sophie. Although Sophie still feels like a mystery to me, Delilah’s story made up for it. I really enjoyed Delilah’s character besides the parts in library, but then, the ending had me wanting more!
